Maya Dance Theatre is back to audition new dancers for its upcoming ASPIRE 2 Dance Programme to be held on 20th March. Set up as a performance-based dance enrichment programme, the ASPIRE 2 is currently recruiting young and eager dance artists to join our dance programme for 2010. Specially designed for both novice and intermediate dance artists alike, the ASPIRE 2 Dance Programme aims to instil in youths age 14-25 years olds fundamental training in dance techniques and performance skills to enable them to develop into become better dancers and performers.
For a duration of six months, participants will receive specialised dance trainings from experienced and professional dance trainers and choreographers who will not only groom participants in techniques and forms but also costume design, wardrobe management, make-up and basic arts management. At the end of the course, selected participants who have completed the ASPIRE 2 Dance programme will be invited to perform with the professional dancers from Maya Dance Theatre and the first young dancers from the ASPIRE 1 Dance Programme, in their year-end production schedule in October/ November 2010.
Sessions will be conducted every Saturday from 11:00am to 1:30pm at Apsara Asia (2 Kampong Kapor Road). Price: $80.00 per month
