Star Creation is back in 2011 and on a quest once again for new design stars. The competition is part of the Asia Fashion Exchange, which takes place in Singapore in May. It is open to aspiring designers between 16 and 35 years old who are Asian citizens, and who have under two years of experience in the fashion industry. The closing date for the competition is Jan 31, 2011.
Three winners will be selected from the entries and each will get a S$10,000 cash prize from Audi Singapore, as well as the chance to draw on the wealth of experience of leading fashion retailer, F J Benjamin, during a one-year work attachment. Of the three, one also stands the chance to win the Audi Young Designer Award (AYDA) – an additional $10,000 cash prize.
Last year’s competition saw 12 finalists from China, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan. The three winners were Daniel Ngoo (Malaysia), 22, Audrey Lim (Singapore), 20, and Kitty Miao (China), 32.
