Brief overview:
This project requires the revamp of the existing school song – the melody tune (i.e. score) specifically.
Increase the tempo of the song while maintaining a comfortable pace and standard for students to sing along. It will be the best case scenario to retain 100% of the original lyrics. However, if you feel that there’s a need to change the lyrics to suit your revamped melody, you are advise to retain the majority (90-95%) of it. Keywords such as: “Gracious, Responsible, Public-Spirited” must not be removed).
This song should sound catchy and easy for students to sing along. The overall school song should appeal to the students. Students should also feel more motivated to sing the new school song. Towards the ending part, the song should be on an accelerating tone.
On an additional note, if your song has a chorus or bridge which can come across (to extract out) as a cheer, it will be ideal. The school may wish to extract the chorus portion to be part of their school cheer. We hope the song can bring out the dynamism, vibrancy and enthusiasm of the young students.
