PAGE ONE, an established Book Retailing, Publishing and Distribution Group, has an immediate vacancy for a GRAPHIC DESIGNER.
Responsibilities:
You will be required to conceptualise and design a variety of projects including, but not limited to: in-house origination titles, book covers, catalogues, posters and other retail collaterals. There will also be opportunities to work on environmental displays, graphics and signage as well as other non-book related merchandise and products.
Requirements:
- A Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design
- Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in the design industry with a strong portfolio showcasing skills in typography, editorial layout and graphic design
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: primarily InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator on a Mac platform
- Flexibility and adaptability as well as an interest in other modes of visual communication beyond printed matter
- Excellent communication, multi-tasking management, organization skills
- Able to deliver high quality work under demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment and with minimal supervision
- Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin (to liaise with Mandarin-speaking associates)
- Interest in the Web and other interactive/online applications is advantageous
- Able to start work at short notice
